Anuja Sathe on her experience with handling a gun: It feels heavy and dangerous not just in your hands, but also in your conscience

The second session of filmmaker Sachin Darekar's much-awaited web series of 'Ek Thi Begum' was released today, (Sept 30) on MX Player. It is a story of a stunningly beautiful woman played by Anuja Sathe. She plays the role of Ashraf aka Sapna, the loving wife of Zaheer played by Ankit Mohan.
The second season begins with the hunt for Leela Paswan, another disguise donned by Ashraf who defied death and returned to her mission of bringing the dreaded and powerful Dubai don Maqsood (Ajay Gehi), to his knees
Anuja Sathe opens up about the nuances of her experience while handling a gun."I’m not going to lie, when I first touched a gun in real life, just the idea of holding such a powerful weapon gave me goosebumps. For my character, I had to recreate my experience of holding a gun for the first time, of how it feels heavy and dangerous not just in your hands, but also in your conscience" her statement said.
"But when you’re blinded by revenge, you think of it as a means to an end. We were given a lot of training before we used the guns on the set" She added.
Directed by SachinDarekar and Vishal Modhave, this series also stars Shahab Ali, Chinmay Mandlekar, Vijay Nikam, Rajendra Shisatkar, Nazar Khan, Hitesh Bhojraj, Sauraseni Maitra, Lokesh Gupte, Mir Sarwar, PurnanadaWandekar and Rohan Gujar in pivotal roles.
