Shyam Singha Roy: Nani planning to act in a Malayalam film along with Fahadh Faasil?

The Natural actor Nani, who predominantly works in the Telugu cinema, is on a promotional spree for his upcoming film ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ directed by Rahul Sankrityan. Recently the actor reached Kochi, Kerala as part of the promotional works for the film, and during the question-answer section, he opened up about his love for Malayalam cinema and the actors.He said that during the lockdown days, watching Malayalam films was the best option for him to kill time. Nani said that he is a huge Mohanlal fan and loved several Malayalam films such as ‘Lucifer’, ‘Trance’, ‘Driving License’, ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ etc. When one among the audience asked whether he is interested in doing Malayalam films, Nani replied: Yes, of course, I would love to do a Malayalam film. In my next film actress Nazriya Nazim is acting and also Fahadh Faasil is a good friend of mine. Nazriya told me that whenever you come to a Malayalam film you should act first with Fahadh Faasil and his friends. I said ok, done”. Hearing this sentence there was a huge clamor of clapping hands among the audience, which is a real indication of how much the actor Nani is beloved by the Malayali audience.

Nani also expressed his doubts on why Fahadh Faasil’s movie ‘Trance’ didn’t do well in the Malayalam Box Office as the majority of the audience has actually loved the movie. During the Malayalam trailer and song launch function, Nani shared his experience working as an assistant director, and one time he had to manage a group of kids who were Malayalis and had to learn Malayalam words in order to do so. Nani’s upcoming movie is touted as a drama-history film with supernatural elements and the actress Sai Pallavi will be playing a prominent female lead in the film. The film is set to be released on 24th December 2021.
