Actress Shanthi Krishna who is also a professional dancer is elated to do a dance movie in her third innings. The film is titled Shyama Ragam and is directed by

Sethu Eyal

, assistant director of Lohithadas. She is playing a Bharatanatyam dancer in the film.

On the film, the actress says, "I am a professional Bharatanatyam dancer in real life and I am excited to play it on reel. I have been studying dance since the age of six. I was managing both movies and dance simultaneously. When I became a mom, I concentrated on bringing my children up and never thought about myself. I stopped everything for 20 years and even forgot who I am. Now, I am trying to revive my dance. I am doing small dance programmes. I am practising it whenever I get time. I am glad I am part of Shyama Ragam. It is a small film but has a very interesting subject, dance. I play a dancer in it. The shoot is on at Thriprayar."

The actress had done a dance movie earlier, Kilukilukkam in 1982.
