Saiju Kurup starrer ‘Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan’ to get a sequel

Mollywood actor Saiju Kurup recently teamed up with the director Arun Vaiga for the comedy-drama film ‘Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan’ and the film received much adulation from the audience when it was released on the OTT platform. Now the makers are planning for a sequel to the comedy entertainer and the news was confirmed by the director himself.

Director Arun Vaiga took to his official Facebook handle and shared the first portion of the screenplay of the sequel for ‘Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan’.Sharing a glimpse of the screenplay, the director penned a note saying that he is announcing the second part of ‘Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan' on a very special day (Ramayana month).

” Please keep us in your prayers.”, Arun Vaiga penned as he announced the sequel of his sophomore directorial venture. Arun Vaiga has also directed the movie ‘Chembarathipoo’ which was released in the year 2017 and had the actors Askar Ali, Jayakrishnan, and Dharmajan Bolgatty in significant roles.
‘Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan’s script was penned down by the writer Rajesh Varma and the story revolved around a character named Jayan who is a former mobster. Funny incidents that happened during the marriage function of Gunda Jayan’s niece are the major highlight of the movie along with a surprise twist at the end.
‘Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan’ was bankrolled by the young Mollywood actor Dulquer Salmaan’s production company. Kiran Das did the editing work for the movie, whereas the music department was handled by Bijibal. Eldo Isaac cranked the lens for the comedy entertainer.
Actors Saiju Kurup, Siju Wilson, Shabareesh Varma, Johny Antony, Sagar Surya, Sabumon Abdusamad and Jaffar Idukki played pivotal roles in ‘Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan’.
