"L2 Empuraan" is a prequel and sequel to its predecessor, delving deeper into the character of Stephen Nedumpally, played by Mohanlal. The star-studded ensemble cast from "Lucifer" will reprise their roles in the sequel, and new actors including Arjun Das and Shine Tom Chacko will also be featured. The film is set to release by the end of 2024 or early 2025.

‘L2: Empuraan’, a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster "Lucifer," brings back the dynamic duo of superstar Mohanlal and the multi-talented Prithviraj Sukumaran for their third collaboration. The movie promises to be both a prequel and sequel to its predecessor, delving deeper into the intriguing character of Stephen Nedumpally, also known as Khureshi Ab'Ram, portrayed by Mohanlal.
The star-studded ensemble cast, including Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Sai Kumar, Baiju Santhosh, Shivaji Guruvayoor, and more, who were pivotal to the success of "Lucifer," will be reprising their respective roles in "L2 Empuraan." Reportedly, the ‘Kaithi’ fame Arjun Das, Shine Tom Chacko, and Rahul Madhav will also be seen playing major roles in Prithviraj Sukumaran’s third directorial venture.
