In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, Prachi Tehlan spilled the beans on her Telugu debut ‘Trishanku’.
Prachi Tehlan signed ‘Trishanku’ while she was filming for the magnum opus ‘Mamangam’. “I joined the sets of ‘Trishanku after completing the first schedule of ‘Mamangam’. So this was in 2018. It’s been a long time since we shot for the film and finally, the lyrical song is released. I am looking forward to the release,” Prachi said.
The ‘Mamangam’ actress is thrilled about marking her debut in Telugu cinema and speaking about her character she shared, “I have roped in to play Nakshathra, who is a science student. She is the only girl in the five person gang. Interestingly I was the only woman on the sets, during our first schedule. Although I was a bit concerned about it at the beginning, we eventually worked it out. We shot the film in some beautiful locations. Most of the actors are marking their debuts with the film, so I really enjoyed working for the film.”

When asked about what drew her to ‘Trishanku’, the actress divulged, “Be it in television or movies, I’ve always loved experimenting with different genres. ‘Mamangam’ was a period drama and in ‘Trishanku’ I am a girl next door. Also, the film is a science fiction thriller. It has a different perspective and a different mood to it.”
Prachi also shared that the movie has a time travel element to it, but she chose to stay tight-lipped about the storyline or other details related to the film.
Prachi is sharing the screen with Aman Preet Singh, who also happens to be the brother of popular star Rakul Preet. Speaking about her co-star Aman, Prachi added, “It was fun to work with him. We both are from Delhi, so it was easy to connect with him. He is a chilled-out person and very passionate about acting and movies.”
