As a part of promoting the film, Neha Saxena posted a couple of pictures of her look from the film. While a majority of the netizens were awed by her look, a certain section was rather interested in making religious slurs. In an exclusive chat with ETimes, Neha Saxena speaks about her role in the upcoming film ‘Peppatty’, a thriller directed by Salimbaba, the cyberattack she received for posting pictures of her decked out in a burqa performing namaz, and much more.

"I am playing Sultana, a woman who is fighting against all odds to support her family when life throws challenges at her. Sultana runs an artist management company, and she is full of love and warmth. I was thrilled to play Sultana because I haven’t played a character of Islamic faith yet," Neha Saxena tells us.

The actress adds, "I learned to perform namaz for my character in ‘Peppatty’. On the set, our DOP Sali Moideen Ikka taught me how to perform namaz, and it was truly an honour to enact. After the shoot, I posted a couple of pictures of my look in the film and of me offering namaz. While most of the feedback I received was heartwarming, a section of it was unpleasant."
