Mohanlal’s note read, “Delighted to announce my next film, a dramatic journey traversing love, longing and music to be shot extensively in Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, and Shillong. Written and directed by Anoop Menon and featuring a stellar team BTS, produced by Timeless movies, this subject is so close to my heart..I sincerely welcome all of you to be part of our epic journey. @anoopmenoninclusive.”

Mohanlal’s post was soon flooded with comments and the majority of them seem to have mixed opinions about the collaboration. One commented, “Thought that the hard times were over, brother ordered through Flipkart and brought back the hard times.” Another comment read, “No words to say!.” A third one commented, "Lalettan should respect the expectations of the audience watching cinema. In the last five years, apart from Neru, many people haven’t been able to watch a truly good film in theaters, even as a one-time watch. And now, another film with people like Anoop... no one is interested. Please avoid such commitments, Laletta, and focus on making good movies."
While further details about the film’s cast and storyline remain under wraps, Mohanlal’s description hints at an emotionally rich narrative.
With ‘L2: Empuraan’ in the pipeline and this newly announced venture, Mohanlal continues to explore diverse roles and genres. Mohanlal’s previous outing was his directorial debut film ‘Barroz’ which unfortunately received negative reviews from the audiences and turned out to be a flop.
