Miya plays a well-educated new age woman, who is forced to settle down with her husband, forgetting her aspirations. The story has been written by K Suresh Kumar and K Noushad.
The filmmaker says, “Miya plays Anna, who belongs to an upper class family and is highly educated.
She is married to P Sukumar’s character and her days are restricted to doing chores of her family, despite being someone interested in music and painting. Miya also dons a new look in the movie, with curly hair and specs.”
The actress is also thrilled about the movie and her role, and says, “I loved the character as it portrayed a socially relevant situation. Moreover, the subject was women-oriented and it was quite challenging for me to get into the skin of the character.”
Shoot for Thottavadi, which also has Nandu, Manoj K Jayan, Kottayam Nazir, T G Ravi and Kollywood actor Jayaprakash in important roles, got over recently.
