In the glittering night of the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2023, the talented actress Gayathrie Shankar had a moment she will cherish forever. The rising star won the prestigious Best Debutant Actress award for her performance in the film 'Nna Thaan Case Kodu.'
Gayathrie Shankar graced the starry event and received the award. The talented actress has now took to her social media handle to express her heartfelt gratitude to the entire team that made it possible. She played the role of Devi, the wife of Kozhummal Rajeevan, the protagonist in the film. Directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval, 'Nna Thaan Case Kodu’ featured Kunchacko Boban in the lead role.
In her Instagram note, Gayathrie Shankar penned a heartfelt note that reads, “Won my first #siima for best debut in Malayalam for this very very special movie called #NnaThaanCaseKodu! Thank you @ratheesh_balakrishnan_poduval @kunchacks @santhoshkuruvilla for the opportunity to be a part of this incredible movie! And the rest of the team for making the entire experience so memorable!”
She also expressed her happiness on debuting in Malayalam cinema with 'Nna Thaan Case Kodu’. “I feel blessed to be a part of an industry that I have been in awe of, since forever! The love and acceptance I've been receiving since #ntck has been overwhelming! All I have to say in return is, thank you and I love you too!” Gayathrie added.

“Gayathrie Shankar's noteworthy performance in her debut Nna Thaan Case Kodu has won her the Best Debutant Actress (Malayalam) award at SIIMA 2023!” the organizers of SIIMA 2023, said in a note.
On the other hand, following the success of ‘Nna Thaan Case Kodu’ Gayathrie Shankar signed ‘Corona Papers’ directed by Priyadarshan. Released in April this year, ‘Corona Papers’ featured Shane Nigam in the lead role.
