After receiving rave reviews for his directorial ‘Vellam’, Prajesh Sen has stepped into his next titled ‘The Secret of Women’. The team unveiled the first look poster a couple of months ago and Niranjana Anoop has roped in to play the lead. In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, director Prajesh Sen spills the beans about ‘The Secret of Women’.
“It is a woman-centric film. The film revolves around an incident taking place in the lives of two women,” Prajesh Sen said, giving us an introduction to his upcoming film ‘The Secret of Women’.
Speaking further about the film, Prajesh Sen adds, “These two women belong to different strata of life and an incident occurring commonly to both forms the crux of the story.”
Prajesh Sen revealed that Niranjana Anoop is playing the protagonist Jeena George in the film. “We were in search of an artist who could pull off Jeena. As our film has several single-shot sequences, it was important to find someone who could memorize the dialogues as well as give a convincing performance. There are single shots that have a duration of three to four minutes in the film. The artist who is playing the protagonist should be able to give an uninterrupted performance. And that’s when Niranjana Anoop came in.”
The film is an emotional thriller and the director shares that sound modulations are important for the film and Niranjana was someone who could pull off the same with perfection.
“Upon meeting Niranjana, we asked her to do a particular scene. She left us surprised during the audition. And the very moment I knew she was our Jeena,” Prajesh Sen sums up.
The team has wrapped the shoots of the film and is heading for the post-production stage.
