Bappi Lahiri no more: Manju Warrier, Manoj K Jayan, and other M-Town celebs pay tributes

The Legendary music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri breathed his last on Wednesday morning in a hospital in Mumbai. He was 69. The whole nation is mourning over the loss of the musical maestro who was indeed one of the pioneers of disco-style music in India. M-Town celebs also took to their respective Instagram handles to pay tribute to the legend, Bappi Lahiri.

Actress Manju Warrier paid tribute to the legend by sharing an Instagram story feed with Bappi Lahiri’s picture and wrote, “RIP”.

The Mollywood actor Manoj K Jayan took to his official Instagram handle and shared a picture of Bappi Lahiri. Sharing the picture, the actor penned a heartfelt note starting with the line ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’. In the note, Manoj K Jayan referred to Bappi Lahiri in his popularly called name ‘Bappi Da’ and said that he was a musical legend who paved a new path for the Bollywood music industry during the 80s. Manoj K Jayan ended the note by paying tribute to the ‘Disco Dancer’ composer.

The Malayalam playback singer Vidhu Prathap took to his official Instagram handle and paid tribute to Bappi Lahiri by sharing his picture on Instagram story feed.

Playback singer-actor Siddharth Menon shared a picture of Bappi Lahiri, on his official Instagram handle, with the song ‘Yaar Bina Chain Kaha Re’ in the background. Sharing the picture, the singer wrote, “Your charm, your energy, your songs, Bappi da forever in our hearts. Rest in peace.”
