Actor Miya’s father George Joseph passes away

Mollywood actor Miya's father George Joseph passed away on Tuesday. He was 75. According to the reports, the funeral will be held at church in Kottayam on Wednesday.
He is survived by his wife Mini, daughters Miya, Gin, and son-in-laws Lino George and Aswin Philip.

For the uninitiated, Miya is one of the popular actors in M-Town. She ventured into showbiz through television soaps.Her appearance in soaps like ‘Velankanni Mathavu’ and ‘Alphonsamma’ made her a popular face amongst television viewers.
Miya George debuted in M-Town playing a supporting role in the movie 'Oru Small Family'. After appearing in a couple of movies as supporting characters, Miya finally grabbed the attention of the cinephiles with her role in ‘Vishudhan’. She played Sophie and romanced Kunchacko Boban in the film.
Miya’s popular movies include ‘Salaam Kashmir’, ‘Hi I'm Tony’, 'Anarkali', and 'Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal’ among others. Miya has also acted in a few Tamil and Telugu movies.
Her recent outing was 'Driving License' and ‘Al Mallu’. Miya played a doting wife Elsa Kuruvila in ‘Driving License’, which featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles.
The actress entered wedlock last year. She tied the knot with businessman Ashwin Philip on September 12, 2020, in a low-key ceremony held at Pala. The wedding was arranged, however, they knew each other via their families.
Miya George and Ashwin Philip welcomed their first child, a baby boy a couple of months ago. “It's a Boy ❤️ Luca Joseph Philip,” Miya announced their child’s name through social media.


The baby boy’s baptism ceremony was hosted a couple of weeks ago.
