Comedy in a park

Park is a comedy that takes a playful look at three men in a park fighting for their individual benches. The playful banter and illogical arguments escalate into violence as questions of space, territory and ownership become fraught with tension. Everyone seems to want to sit where someone else is seated, and no one wants to give up their place. Marking your territory is considered an animal trait, and yet, no animal can beat man at this game.
Written by Manav Kaul and directed by Nimi Ravindran, the play features Ashish Dabreo, Jimmy Xavier and Deepak Subramanya. A Sandbox Collective presentation, Park is slated to take place at Ranga Shankara on January 13, at 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm.
