There is a dearth of good Kannada content on OTT platforms and to fill that gap, many young filmmakers and actors are now slowly marching towards the platform. Latest to join the migration are actors
Vikram Ravichandran and
Aditi Prabhudeva.
The story revolves around
Abhi, played by Aditi Prabhudeva, which is about a young widow and mother, who finds herself entangled in a web of mysteries and accusations after she becomes a prime suspect in her husband's murder.
Aditi Prabhudeva said, “All the artists act according to their rhythm and emotions. An actor’s journey is like that. Sometimes that needs to break down. Abhi is one such character that broke this journey for me. This role challenged my entire personality and made me change a lot of aspects of my personality.”
Vikram, who plays Shiva, says, “Shiva is a complete opposite of what
Vikram Ravichandran is! Shiva is a nuanced character, riddled with a lot of mystery. While they say everything is fair in love and war, when it comes to Shiva and his life, nothing is fair in his love and his own war.”
The thriller, directed by Kali Velayutham, also has Ravishankar, Ashok Sharma, Ambika, Srinath,
Sundar Raj,
Vinay Prasad, Rachita Mahalakshmi, and Srinivas
Murthy in key roles.
With many mainstream actors foraying into OTT space, now is the time to wait and watch if Kannada content can manage to grab enough attention online.
