Kannada actor
Ramesh Bhat has been selected as a recipient for the Abhinaya Bhargava Dr. Vishnuvardhan award organised by Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Vishnu Sena Samithi.
The program will be held at the Kannada Sahitya Parishat office at Chamarajpet at 5 pm today (October 16). Minister for Transport D.C Thimmanna will be presenting the award to Ramesh Bhat.
The previous winners of this award include S.P Balasubramaniam, Rebel star Dr.
Ambarish, senior actress Leelavathi and director
Girish Kasaravalli. This time senior actor Ramesh Bhat is being awarded.
Ramesh Bhat is a leading actor in Kannada cinema. He has played supporting actor, villain, comedian, and many more characters in his career. Theater artist Ramesh Bhat first appeared on the television show 'Crazy Colonel' in 1990. He also acted in ‘Malgudi Days’ directed by
Shankar Nag. His directorial debut 'Parameshi Prema Prasanga' was nationally recognized.
