The coronavirus pandemic has been playing spoilsport for a very long time, and with the intensity only increasing this time around, normalcy in our everyday lives seems far removed at this point. For many, the current situation has significantly hampered their travel plans as several restrictions came into place owing to the spread of the virus; and for director
Simple Suni, the pandemic has been a party pooper not once but twice over!
The director's wife, Soundarya Gowda, celebrated her birthday yesterday, and taking to Twitter, Suni shared a rather funny message to wish her on the special day.
"I would like to wish my wife a happy second lockdown birthday... I had planned a trip to Paris the last year to celebrate and it was supposed to be Norway this time around but the lockdown got announced on both occasions. Next year, I'll plan something at the nearby Wonder La... Please, no lockdown... Corona, go away," said the 'Avatara Purusha' director.
Indeed, Simple Suni seems pressed for options at the time to celebrate his birthday, and considering the current situation, a place like Wonder La would seem ideal! Suni married Soundarya, a legal professional, in a "simple" affair on the 17th of February, 2017 in Chikkamagalur and quite interestingly, the couple began its courtship after Suni approached Soundarya on social media while in awe of poetry.
On the work front, Simple Suni is currently one of the busiest directors working in the industry today with as many as four projects in the pipeline. His two-part project 'Avatara Purusha' will have its first installment,
Ashtadigbandana Mandalaka, released at the earliest - reportedly, the film's original release date of May 28th has now been changed owing to the pandemic. Suni has also collaborated with his 'Chamak' actor
Ganesh for the second time in 'Sakath' and he will also be launching the fresh face, Dushyanth Srinivas, in 'Robin Hood'. The release dates of both these films are yet to be divulged.
