Fresh from the success of her recent Malayalam flick, Mahaveeryar,
Shanvi Srivastava has headed to B-town to star in her first music album, Meethi Meethi, with singer
Jubin Nautiyal.
The song, choreographed by Bollywood’s popular choreographer
Bosco Martis, sees Shanvi and
Jubin play a couple in a fun, romantic track.
Talking about her association with the project, Shanvi says, “Jubin is someone who has an enormous fan following and has sung for hit films like Kabir Singh, Kabul, Shershah and Bhajrangi Bhaijaan, among others.
And, of course, Bosco Martis is the name behind some of the biggest hit songs. The production house backing it is top-rung in the business and all of these were reason enough to grab the offer.”
The song was shot on a set in Mumbai and Shanvi is thrilled that she got to work with such an illustrious team. “And they, in turn, were happy with me as I was always punctual. Another thing they liked was that I picked up the moves and matched the beat the moment it was taught. I think in the South, we work very hard, especially with our choreographers, and that really held me in good stead. Bosco was really impressed,” she smiles.
Actors featuring in music singles has become a trend and Shanvi explains that it’s because they have a wider reach and a long shelf life. “Because music is something that everyone loves and it’s eternal,” sums up Shanvi.
