Constant connectivity, information overload & cyberbullying, are among the biggest challenges faced by Gen Z’s today. As they gear up for release on March 28, the Gen Z actors starring in Yograj Bhat’s Manada Kadalu - Anjali Anish, Sumukha, and Rashika Shetty - speak about how information overload might have been contributing to persistent confusion among this generation.
We are always in a state of confusion about what next? We keep losing our minds, wondering if the next step we're going to take will be right or wrong for us

GenZ’s want to have a voice and opinion about everything, which is why they are creating platforms like YouTube and Podcasts for themselves, which is fantastic in a way to express yourself

A lot of films that belong to the Young Adult genre are seen through the perspective of an older filmmaker who has preconceived about GenZ. But the actors of Manada Kadalu reiterate that Yogaraj Bhat, who also happens to have two kids from the same generation at home, has accurately shown what this generation is going through. The trio dissect the issue. “An accurate representation of Gen Z would be confusion. My friends and I, are constantly confused about everything,” says Anjali.
Today, we have the option to get any kind of information at our fingertips. Which is also why we are confused as we have too many opinions.

Agreeing with Anjali, Rashika says, “We are always in a state of confusion about what next? Is this right or wrong about each and everything.” “Information overload could be one of the reasons for this confusion,” says Anjali. She adds, “Today, we have the option to get any kind of information at our fingertips. We have too many opinions, which confuse us.” “We are all about focusing on mental health, being happy and at peace, which is good. But then again, this might contribute to a lack of experts in certain professions at one point in future. Previous generations too were flexible and took risks. But, the number is more now because they have the option to do so,” she adds. Sumukha explains, “Gen Zs are exposed to so many things happening around them - be it social or political. They want their voices also to be heard. Which is why so many of them are starting their own YouTube channels or hosting podcasts, which is fantastic in a way,” he share.
Today, we don’t mind starting from scratch at any age. I grew up with the pressure of capitalism; to achieve something by a certain age, but this generation is quite chill

Gen Z’s have a lot of clarity within themselves, but to the outside world, they seem confused. They believe ‘we are clear on what we are, it’s you who don’t get it’
