In a complaint reportedly filed against HYBE's CCO, Park Tae Hee, and PR Room Leader, Cho Sung Hoon, the former ADOR CEO, Min Hee Jin, has filed a criminal complaint stating professional duty breach.
The incident was reportedly filed at Yongsan Police Station on November 25.
Min's legal representatives, Markol Consulting Group, and Sejong Law Firm, have issued an official statement regarding the incident:
"Hello.
This is Markol Consulting Group that is tasked with media communication and Sejong Law Firm to represent former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.
Former CEO Min brought a criminal complaint against the HYBE Chief Public Relations Officer (CCO), Park Tae Hee, and the HYBE Public Relations Room Leader Cho Sung Hoon, on the counts of breach of professional duty on November 25, 2024, at Yongsan Police Station.
As part of HYBE's Shared Services PR Room, they have been receiving PR fees from ADOR, yet were unable to fulfill their professional duty to promote NewJeans. On the contrary, they have severely damaged ADOR and
NewJeans by trivializing their success and more.
We hope that they will be dealt with for their crimes through criminal punishment. "
-The Markol Consulting Group.
The statement hoped that perpetrators will receive proper criminal punishment for their acts.
In previous reports, it was reported that the PR team of HYBE was also blamed for acting to lessen recognition of New Jeans in Japan, which has also caused controversy on how one of K-pop's fastest-rising groups has been treated.
Min Hee Jin made the move to call the PR executives responsible for their negligence and misdeed. As the case goes on, waiting for what is next has been ongoing both in the fans and industry circles.
