It is really important for each one of us to show solidarity at this moment. Indian singers with ISRA will celebrate the spirit of our nation and also urge every Indian to come forward and donate more and more towards the PM-CARES Fund. Medication is limited to heal the body but music heals the soul. We musicians will spread positivity amongst all of us in this dark phase bringing entertainment for enlightenment and cheer.”
Singer Shantanu Mukherjee aka Shaan, added, “COVID-19 is a test for India and the world and it too shall pass. 18 legendary singers are coming together to serve as a source of strength and encouragement to our Indian family. With three magical concerts we will be celebrating the power of human spirit by coming to each of your houses virtually as we urge you to remain indoors, keep your wallets aside and enjoy our shows. We urge everyone to stay at home. With this initiative, we will be able to come to your homes and sing for the country.”
Sonu Nigam said, “The Indian Singer's Rights Society or ISRA is a fairly new society that has been recognized by the Constitution. Despite that, we, the members of the society, decided to play a role in nation-building and morale-boosting in these days of global crisis. Thus we decided on doing this live concert for the Prime Minister's Care. We also want to inspire the people to come out and contribute whatever they are comfortable with, to the PMCares Fund.”
Sonu added, “Every Indian be it an official, a health worker, an essential services provider or citizen at home - is contributing in this battle. Especially mothers, home makers and sisters at home who are bearing the burden. As artists salute you through our music.”
Sangeet Setu Virtual Concerts will be held from 8 to 9 pm on April 10, 11 and 12.
