Brit cross dresser and flamboyant 80s legend, Boy George, gave India a dream weekend this year when he went out of his way to ensure a good time for his fans during the country’s debut Grand Prix in October.
George, a multiple-Grammy award winning artiste, performed in India for the first time at one of the F1 Rocks after-parties, and with his fedora in place, the DJ made sure that every penny spent on him was well compensated for.

The ticket prices at all the bashes, of course, were in sync with the big ticket sporting spectacle and for an exclusive table at this after-party, guests were willing to shell out as much as `3,00,000. The price for a single entry ticket entry for this do was `15,000, couples shelled out `25,000 and for a VIP table, the cost was `2,00,000 and upwards for a group of eight people.
Post the gig, the DJ made his love for the country evident when he tweeted, “I have to say I love India and can’t wait to look around Delhi tomorrow & Tuesday! My friend is coming from Vrindavan!!”
The words “Om Shanti. Hare Krishna!” frontline his introduction on a social networking site and by the looks of it, Boy George sure is smitten by India!
