When Pooja Hegde addressed dating rumours with Salman Khan: 'I love being single'

There was a time when Pooja Hegde’s name was linked to Salman Khan’s, as people speculated about a romantic relationship between them. Amidst the longstanding buzz, the actress dismissed the rumours and clarified that she is single.
In an old interview with ETimes in 2023, Pooja Hegde put an end to the speculation linking her romantically with her Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-star Salman Khan. Pooja told ETimes, “I am single. I love being single. I am genuinely concentrating on my career right now.”
In Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Pooja portrays the romantic lead opposite Salman Khan, whose character fights against all odds to protect her family. Reflecting on their on-screen chemistry, she told PTI, “I am glad that people really liked the chemistry because it is an integral part of the story… I have been blessed in general with whoever my co-stars are, like Allu Arjun, Akhil (Akkineni), Thalapathy Vijay, or Ranveer Singh.”

Apart from Pooja and Salman, the movie boasts an ensemble cast, introducing fresh talent such as Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, and Palak Tiwari. The film is helmed by Farhad Samji.
On the work front, Pooja is gearing up for the release of the Suriya-starrer Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The actress is winning hearts with the recent single Anarkali from the movie, in which she and Suriya are seen dancing to a vintage song with high energy and swag. The song went viral online.

At the same time, the Salman Khan-starrer Sikandar, which hit theatres on 30th March, coinciding with Eid, is running successfully in cinemas. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss and starring Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal, received mixed reviews from fans and critics.
