Alia Bhatt and Shahrukh Khan have worked together several times in the past. The 'Jigra' actress also expressed her admiration for King Khan on many occasions. In the throwback moment, the actress opened up that SRK was her 'biggest darling' in Bollywood apart from her husband, Ranbir Kapoor.
During an interview with Bollywood Hungama while promoting her film 'Darlings', Alia Bhatt was asked who her 'biggest darling' in Bollywood was, apart from her husband Ranbir Kapoor. Alia responded, “My biggest darling in Bollywood, apart from Ranbir, I would say Shah Rukh Khan."
'Darlings' was Alia Bhatt’s first production venture under her banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions, and was co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. The duo shared the screen in the 2016 hit 'Dear Zindagi,' a feel-good movie that highlighted their chemistry. Alia also made a cameo appearance in SRK's 2018 film 'Zero', while Shah Rukh had a guest role in her fantasy blockbuster 'Brahmāstra: Part One—Shiva' in 2022.
In a 2024 interview with Allure magazine, Alia Bhatt shared that Shah Rukh Khan is the first person she thinks of when it comes to Indian cinema. She mentioned his famous 'Palat' scene with Kajol from 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'.
The actress mentioned that many girls dream of having a moment like the famous 'Palat' scene from 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'.
She further shared that many girls wish for a moment in their lives where they can look back and see a guy looking at them or waiting for them to notice him.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt is currently filming the Spy Universe movie 'Alpha', where she stars alongside Sharvari and Bobby Deol. Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra, the film is set to be released in theaters on December 25, 2025.
Meanwhile, King Khan is preparing to start shooting for his upcoming film 'King', directed by Sujoy Ghosh. In this film, he will portray a gray character and will be working with his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time. 'King' is expected to begin filming in January 2025.
