When Aamir Khan opened up about meeting ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao once every week: 'There is a lot of genuine care...'

Bollywood star Aamir Khan turned 60 today (March 14), and the actor, known for his versatile performances and professionalism, has often made headlines for his marital life. Many of his fans frequently praise him for maintaining a good friendship with his ex-wives even after divorce. Aamir once spoke about his bond with his ex-wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao.
In a candid conversation during his appearance on Koffee With Karan 7 in 2022, Aamir shared that despite their marriages coming to an end, they continue to share a strong bond based on mutual respect and affection. "We all get together once a week, no matter how busy we are. There is a lot of genuine care, love, and respect between us," Aamir said.

He further highlighted the importance of family: "I have the highest regard and respect for both of them. Hum log hamesha parivar hi rahenge (We will always be a family)." He called Reena and Kiran “wonderful people” and revealed that their relationship has never turned bitter.
Reflecting on the past, Aamir admitted that he wished he had dedicated more time to his personal life rather than being consumed by his work. He acknowledged that his deep passion for cinema often took precedence, a realisation that came with time.
Aamir shares two children, Ira and Junaid Khan, with his first wife, Reena Dutta. Later, he married Kiran Rao, and they welcomed their son, Azad Rao Khan. In 2021, Aamir and Kiran announced their separation but assured fans that they would continue to co-parent Azad while collaborating professionally.
On the work front, Aamir is gearing up for the release of 'Sitaare Zameen Par' this year. Recent reports claim that the movie will hit theatres in June. The film also features Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary in key roles. He will also soon begin working on his dream project based on the Mahabharat.
