The much-loved comedy film ‘No Entry’ is finally getting a sequel — and it’s already creating quite the buzz. Fans have been waiting for ‘No Entry 2’ for years, and now it looks like the project is really moving forward, with big names joining the cast and filming plans set in motion.
Tamannaah steps into a comedy role
According to a report by Peeping Moon, Tamannaah Bhatia has officially signed on as one of the leading ladies in ‘No Entry 2’. This marks a return to the comedy genre for her, and she’s said to be quite excited about it. In the film, Tamannaah’s character will be somewhat similar to the one played by Bipasha Basu in the original 2005 hit. This also comes on the heels of her latest signing — she recently started shooting for ‘Ranger’, a film in which she stars opposite Ajay Devgn.
The report from the aforementioned media outlet also revealed that the makers are in talks with Aditi Rao Hydari for another important female lead role. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
Star-studded male cast
‘No Entry 2’ will feature Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh as the main male leads. This trio is already generating excitement, as each of them is known for their comic timing and screen presence. Fans of the original might be a little disappointed, as the 2005 film starred Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan. But producer Boney Kapoor had earlier explained why the original cast won’t be returning.

Why the original cast isn’t returning
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Boney Kapoor shared, “Unfortunately, we cannot repeat the same star cast because there were issues, especially with the dates. We need at least 200 days of combination dates to complete the shoot.”
He added that the film’s production is set to begin mid-next year, “It (shooting) will begin soon, probably sooner than expected. We’ve decided on the release date also, it would be October 26, 2025 – Diwali release. The shooting will probably start in June or July. Hopefully, we catch up with the target because again will have a lot of post-production.”
While some fans might miss the old trio of Salman, Anil, and Fardeen, the new team of Varun, Arjun, and Diljit promises to bring a different kind of magic. Tamannaah Bhatia’s entry also adds a spark, especially since she has already shown her comic talent in previous films. If Aditi Rao Hydari comes on board, the film will have a strong female line-up to match the energy of the male leads.
