Shah Rukh Khan among Top 10 most handsome actors in the world in scientific study on 'facial perfection'

Shah Rukh Khan is considered one of the most handsome actors, and it's not just fans who say so—science backs it up!
The Bollywood superstar has been ranked among the top 10 most handsome male actors, according to a scientific study conducted by celebrity plastic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva. The study, assesses facial symmetry and perfection using the “Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi.”
Dr De Silva utilised advanced face-mapping software to calculate how well various stars' facial features align with the Golden Ratio, a formula used in art and design to determine aesthetic perfection. The ratio measures facial symmetry, revealing the degree of physical "perfection" in an individual’s features, states a report on JustJared.

The list, which names the top 10 most handsome actors of 2024, includes only two returning stars from the 2023 rankings. Shah Rukh Khan is the only Indian actor to have made the cut, once again affirming his global appeal. The superstar placed 10th, with an impressive facial symmetry score of 86.76%.
Several actors on the list, including those ranked higher than SRK, are also contenders for the role of the next James Bond. British actor Idris Elba, who secured the 9th spot with a facial symmetry score of 87.94%, is one such example.
Other notable stars on the list include 'Riverdale' star Charles Melton in 8th place with 88.46% facial symmetry, followed by Nicholas Hoult in 7th place with 89.84%. Hollywood legend George Clooney narrowly missed the top five, ranking 6th with 89.9% symmetry.

Taking 5th place was Jack Lowden, who scored 90.33%, while 'Batman' star Robert Pattinson came in 4th with 92.15%. 'Gladiator II' actor Paul Mescal ranked 3rd with a facial symmetry of 92.38%, just behind 'Emily in Paris' star Lucien Laviscount, who scored 92.41%.
Topping the list is British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who achieved a remarkable 93.04% facial symmetry. Known for his role in the upcoming 'Kraven the Hunter', Taylor-Johnson is also rumoured to be the frontrunner to play James Bond in the next film instalment. While no official announcement has been made, reports from The Sun in March 2024 suggested that he had been offered the role.
