Priyanka Chopra shares review of Citadel: Honey Bunny starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu: ‘There’s a connection…’

In less than a month, ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, the eagerly anticipated Indian spinoff set in the Citadel Universe, will be released. The audience's excitement has been heightened by the action-packed trailer for the spy series starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan. This forthcoming series was just reviewed by Priyanka Chopra, who stars in the American version. She also talked about the connection between her character and the show.
During a recent conversation with Forbes India, Priyanka Chopra discussed watching the sitcom ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’. She said that she didn't know everything about the show because she had only seen the first two episodes. But according to the actress, it was "so good."
Samantha Ruth Prabhu's performance was praised by Priyanka, who called her "incredible." She further added, “And there's a connection between my character and Honey and Bunny, which was just really fun for me to enjoy.”
PC revealed that she found Samantha and Varun Dhawan to be outstanding in the series. She also praised the show's narrative and the way the show has been shot. She also praised Raj and DK, the directors. Priyanka went on to say that the series truly impressed her.
The cast of ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ features Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, and Kashvi Majmundar apart from Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the key parts. Sita R. Menon developed the series and Raj & DK are its directors. The show is executively produced by The Russo Brothers’ AGBO and Raj & DK.
The series' official synopsis was disclosed in the trailer, “When stuntman Bunny recruits struggling actress Honey for a side gig, they are hurled into a high-stakes world of action, espionage, and betrayal. Years later, as their dangerous past catches up, the estranged Honey and Bunny must reunite and fight to protect their young daughter Nadia.”
‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ will be released on Amazon Prime Video on November 7, 2024.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is currently filming the second season of her series ‘Citadel’. She will be reprising her role as agent Nadia.
