Nawazuddin to resume shooting of his next film in Lucknow from today

Nawazuddin Siddiqui reached Lucknow yesterday afternoon to resume shooting Kushan Nandy’s Jogira Sa Ra Ra!. The film also stars Neha Sharma opposite Nawaz and this is the first time the two share screen space. Actor Sanjay Mishra also has a pivotal role in the film which also stars Mimoh Chakraborty. The movie will be shot in Barabanki, a quaint town near Lucknow, followed by shooting in Lucknow, Rahimabad and Varanasi.

Director Kushan Nandy says, “Jogira Sara Ra Ra! is a quirky romantic comedy about an unlikely couple and a host of unusual characters.We begin our start-to-finish schedule from today, and go on right until the middle of April. It’s exciting to work with Nawaz once again and create something diametrically opposite of what we did last time. This is a very special film for Nawaz and me and the wait because of the covid lockdown seemed endless. I am so glad that finally we are going to be on the sets and will begin shooting. Also, I am looking forward to working with Neha and exploring her inherent goofiness and fun vibe.”

Nawaz and Kushan Nandy have earlier worked together on the 2017 action-thriller, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.
The two had started shooting for the film in Lucknow city in March 2020, just before Corona struck the country. After shooting for a couple of days, they had to pack up and leave for Mumbai days before the nation went under lockdown.
