Mahendra Kapoor to receive Lata Mangeshkar award

indore: noted playback singer mahendra kapoor would be awarded the 18th national lata mangeshkar award on february 10 here. the award, instituted by madhya pradesh government's department of culture, carries a cash prize of rs one lakh and a citation, official sources said here on thursday. the award ceremony committee, which met here on thursday morning under the chairmanship of divisional commissioner ramsajivan, decided to organise a cultural festival from february eight to 10 in which talat aziz and gurudas maan would perform.after the award presentation ceremony on february 10, mahendra kapoor will present a live concert along with co-artists, the sources said.
