Kirron Kher was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, in 2020. She recently shared insights into her long and tough battle with cancer and how, despite undergoing intense treatment, she never gave up her role as a judge on India’s Got Talent.
In an interview with News18, Kirron mentioned that she had not been acting during her battle with cancer, focusing only on her role as a judge on India's Got Talent while living in her hometown, Chandigarh. She explained that she remained committed to the show but avoided other projects, including films. Despite undergoing major treatment, she continued her work on India’s Got Talent, stating that she could not give up the show.
Reflecting on her journey, she said, “Everyone fears that one day something like this might happen. But when it does, there’s no choice but to accept it. The treatment, with all its side effects, was harder than the illness itself. The first six to eight months were very tough, but you leave it in the hands of the Lord. I’ve always believed, even when fighting elections, that ‘This is not my fight; the Lord fights for me.'”
