Ketan Mehta’s Maya Entertainment is making a 3-D animation film, Ramayana - The Epic. Juhi Chawla, Manoj Bajpayi and Ashutosh Rana have lent their voices for the characters of Sita, Ram and Raavan respectively.

Pandit Jasraj’s son Shaarang Dev has given music for this animated feature.The film is expected to hit theatres during Dussehra this year.
A source close to Ketan informs, “The producers are in talks with Warner Brothers to release the film and are planning to launch the first theatrical trailor with Dabangg and We Are Family.”
The director Chetan Desai says, “The last animated version of Ramayana released a decade ago and it was in 2-D. Our film has lot of challenging shots.
There are over fifty thousand characters in one shot and we have done an action scene in rain.”
