Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar Reunite! 'Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri' locks for a 2026 Valentine’s week release

Actor Kartik Aaryan and filmmaker Karan Johar are reuniting for 'Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri' after their past fallout. The film is set to release around Valentine's Day in 2026.
The release date is confirmed.
Today, trade expert Taran Adarsh announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar reunion film 'Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri' will hit theaters on February 13, 2026.
His post read, “KARTIK AARYAN ARRIVES ON VALENTINE'S 2026—'TU' MERI MAIN TERA, MAIN TERA TU MERI' RELEASE DATE LOCKED... #KartikAaryan's next film—a love story titled #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri—will arrive in cinemas on 13 Feb 2026 [#ValentineDay weekend]."
Set for a Valentine’s week release
With its release on February 13, 2026, the makers aim to capitalize on the Valentine’s Day buzz. Touted as a romantic comedy, the film’s plot remains under wraps, and the first look or official posters are yet to be revealed. Reports suggest that Ananya Panday has been cast as the female lead alongside Kartik Aaryan.

Directed by Sameer Vidwans, who previously worked with Kartik Aaryan in 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' and 'Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri' marks the actor’s first collaboration with Karan Johar.
Earlier, Dharma Productions had announced 'Dostana 2' in 2019, but filming was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before production could resume, reports of a fallout between Kartik and Karan surfaced, leading to the project's shelving. Now, the duo is set to reunite with this new romantic comedy, slated for release on February 13, 2026.
Recently, at the SCREEN LIVE event in Mumbai, Kartik Aaryan was shown a picture of himself with Karan Johar, where Karan was seen playfully pulling Kartik’s ear. Responding to the image, Kartik opened up about his bond with the filmmaker, hinting at their renewed collaboration after past differences.
Kartik wrote, “Ispe kya bolu? (What do I say to this?) I think it's a love-hate relationship. Bahut ache yeh photo represents karti hai (I think this is a love and hate relationship). This photo represents that very well.)” He revealed that the picture was taken just before they started working on Dostana 2. Kartik shared, “Yeh moment tab ka hai jab hum logo ne pehli film, jo humari honi thi kabhi, voh sign ki thi. Yeh tab ka moment hai. I think he knew ki main… photo pehle se le li thi (This was the moment when our first film, which was going to happen, was signed. This was then. I think he knew that I… so he took the picture beforehand.”
