With more than dozens of films to his credit,
Bhuvan Arora's latest outing 'Haathi Mere Saathi' is all set to hit the small screens today (September 18). Having worked with several notable actors, the 'Shuddh Desi Romance' actor feels that there are only a few actors in Bollywood with whom you connect immediately and share a rapport that will last forever.
"Though I am comfortable with each and every actor with whom I have worked,
Jackie Shroff is super cool.
He has a really fun vibe. I really enjoyed working with him. He would sit and stand wherever he wanted and he was completely okay about it. I had just shot for a day with him, whereas, on the other hand, I had shot for days and months with other actors but never got that vibe from anyone. He is a rockstar with zero inhibitions, he can do whatever he wants, he can stand wherever he wants, he can speak to whoever he wants to, without even thinking twice about anything," Bhuvan gushes.
Ask Bhuvan about his favourite Bollywood actor and he reveals, "
Shah Rukh Khan used to be my favourite actor when I was a kid. In fact, once there was also a rumour about his death and when I heard about it, I didn't eat food for two days. After those two days, a story appeared in the newspaper saying it was just a rumour' and since I didn't know the meaning of the word 'rumour', I ran to my father and asked him what this word means. Though he explained to me what 'rumour' means, he asked me to keep the newspaper aside and concentrate on my studies instead. So, yes, I used to be a die-hard fan of SRK."
It might come as a surprise to many that Bhuvan once played SRK's role in the movie 'Fan' and had also worn his clothes for a shot. Recalling the instance, Arora says, "I have also worn Shah Rukh's clothes once (chuckles). There was a mock shoot for 'Fan' and Adi sir (
Aditya Chopra) suggested my name to do a scene instead of SRK. So, I did that one shot which is also there in the film. So I have met SRK briefly once and I also told him my admiration for him. If he gives you five minutes of his time, he is completely yours for that period of time. He is that good. He will be 100 per cent focused on you, so even if he speaks to you for 30 seconds, for those seconds, you are his world."
However, he will always regret the opportunity to work with the late actor Irrfan Khan, whom he admires a lot. "The actor I really admired and always wanted to work with, but unfortunately could is Irrfan. So that thing will always remain in my heart that I couldn't tell him that I had always admired and loved his work," he concludes.
