A viral video doing the rounds online saw a fire breaking out during the screening of the historical drama at a screening on Wednesday evening. According to reports, the fire broke out around 5:44 PM, prompting the immediate dispatch of six fire tenders to the scene. The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) states that the blaze was brought under control within 10 minutes, and no injuries were reported.
A spokesperson for the mall later issued a statement citing a short circuit incident at the adjoining multiplex as the cause of the fire. "There was no harm to any human life," the statement read.
A video of the incident surfaced on social media that saw the audience being escorted out of the screening while the upper corner of the screen burned away in the flames. Veer Singh, who was present during the screening, shared his experience with PTI, saying, "When people realized that a fire had broken out inside the hall and smoke was billowing, they started screaming. It was a small fire. As the fire alarm went off, cinema hall staff came in and asked everyone to leave quickly."
