Besides being the creative force behind Jhankar Music, Bharat Jain has produced five films and distributed over 90 films. Now, he has turned director with '6-5=2'. With Niharica Raizada, Prashantt Guptha, Ashrut Jain, Gaurav Paswalla, Gaurav Kothari and Disha Kapoor in lead roles, and cinematography by Sathya Hegde, the film tells the story of a group of youngsters whose mountain trek goes awfully wrong.
The producer-director opens up about the project.
What made you choose the genre of found footage horror? To me, 6-5=2 is not just another film. I’m sharing my experience with the audience. What makes the film different is the genre it belongs to. While most movies are romantic or action-based, this is based on a true story. It has the element of unpredictability to it. And I wanted to make it as authentic as possible. So, 70% of the background sound in the film is from the actual footage.

Then, we came to Mumbai, auditioned over 300 youngsters and zeroed in on the six protagonists. I even did a 10-day workshop with them.
What’s in the pipeline? My next venture will be a romantic film.
6-5=2 releases November 14.
