AI reimagines 'Sholay' with Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Julia Roberts

Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is known for films like Shiva, Satya,Rangeela, Company, recently put out a video wherein a creator reimagined the starcast of Sholay if it was made in Hollywood. It starred Robert De Niro as Jai, Al Pacino as Veeru, Julia Roberts as Basanti, Jack Nicholson as Gabbar and Kevin Spacey as Thakur Baldev Singh.

Sharing the video, RGV wrote, “What if Robert De Niro played Amitabh Bachchan, Al Pacino played Dharmendra, Julia Roberts played Hema Malini, Kevin Spacey played Sanjeev Kumar and Jack Nicholson played Gabbar in SHOLAY ??? ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE is just KILLING it ”
Looking at the video many fans reacted, one user wrote, “Roberts is cute“, while another tweet read, "perfect casting though”.While one fan felt the film with these Hollywood actors would bomb at the box office and tweeted, “It would be a big disaster being Indian actors acting talent is far matured then Hollywood actors....”
In 2007, RGV attempted to adapt 'Sholay' and made 'Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag'with Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Sushmita Sen and Mohanlal.
