Kriti Kharbanda, which opened up to average collections on the first day saw a tremendous growth on day 2 at the box office. The film opened at just around Rs 65 lakh and went on to earned Rs 1.40 crore on Saturday, thus taking its total collection to Rs 2.05 crore, according to a report on Boxofficeindia.com.

She falls in love with her arranged match Satyendra (Rajkummar Rao). Sattu's stable government job (clerk in excise dept) and upper-class family background impresses her parents; while his humility and liberal thoughts, win over the girl.
But the love story takes a drastic turn when Aarti flees on her wedding day, leaving Satyendra at the altar. Fearing she'll end up as a housewife, the ambitious Aarti is willing to sacrifice her love for Sattu over her career and independence. Years later, fate brings them together. What unfolds forms the crux of the story.
While Kriti has been greatly appreciated for her acting skills in the film, Rajkummar again wins the heart of the audience. After giving notable performances in films like 'Trapped', 'Behen Hogi Teri', 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' and 'Newton', Rajkummar has once again proved his mantle in ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’.
