Music legend Suresh Wadkar rang in his birthday all over again, with a party hosted by Thane politico and his friend of 25 years, Pratap Sarnaik, at the Sarnaik residence. The singer turned 61 on August 7 but the delayed celebration was the perfect cue for them to organise a musical night. The evening witnessed a momentous jugalbandi between Suresh Wadkar and singer Mika Singh (who was on tabla), which was the highlight of the evening.
Also present was friend and former cricketer
Dilip Vengsarkar, who narrated dressing room anecdotes of how cricketers used music to keep themselves entertained. The enlivening party was attended by filmmakers
Madhur Bhandarkar and
Joe Rajan, playback singing favourites Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Shailendra Singh and Hariharan. Bollywood actors Akbar Khan and Dino Morea also tuned in to the fine music performances alongwith tabla maestro Taufiq Qureshi and Sadhana Sargam, amongst others.
