When guests mingled over ghazals

It was an evening when some of Urdu poetry’s timeless gems charmed ghazal lovers in one of the pulse venues in Khairtabad recently. Organised to honour India’s first dual citizen Iftekhar Shareef, the do saw many eminent names among the audience who dropped by to witness a recital by Ustad Rajkumar Rizvi and his daughter Neha. While Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mohammed Mehmood Ali was present as the chief guest, other dignitaries such as AK Khan, advisor to government on minority reports, TRS MLCs Farooq Hussain and Mohammed Fareed Uddin too graced the occasion with their presence.After the concert, the guests hobnobbed over a lavish Hyderabadi spread.
