Canadian MP Ruby Dhalla, was given the Punjabi Gold Award and JJ Singh was given the Punjabi Ratan Award. Talking about the festival, Ruby said, ���This festival is all about the enthusiasm and passion of the Punjabis and is celebrated with great dhoom-dhaam.���
