The poster and teaser launch of
Sabyasachi Mishra’s next was held at a city hotel recently. The event was attended by the cast and crew members of the film, where the lead actors, Sabya and
Elina Samantray, spoke about their characters in the flim, Mal Mahu Jeevan Maati - Bhagyara No Guarantee.
Sabya and Elina had paired up earlier in several films and is one of the favourite jodis of Odia commercial cinema.
The film has been directed by
Ramesh Rout, while Nirmal Nayak has written its dialogues and Abhijit Majumdar has scored the music.
Talking about the film, Sabyasachi said it has a regular story with an off-beat approach. “We all love all things materialistic. That is referred to here as maal. We always expect good results, which have been referred to in the film as mahu (honey). In pursuing all these illusive things, we forget that life, after all, had started from the earth and will end on the earth. The film is a take on how to balance all these things. Through this film and my character, Michael, I have tried to give a message that with strong willpower and determination, one can achieve anything,” said the actor, who has also been active in Bengali, Telugu and Tamil industries.
The film also stars several prominent actors and actresses like Pradyumna Lenka, Bidusmita,
Swapna Pati, Krishna Kar, Amar, Jojo, Biju Badjena, Ravi Kumar, Kahnu Mohanty and the late Salil Mitra.
Sabyasachi is also playing the role of a differently-abled person, who can’t speak clearly. The film has also given chance to several differently-abled persons, who had been chosen through an audition, and they have played themselves in the film.
“Through this film, we have also tried to showcase inclusiveness by letting the differently-abled actors to play some characters, which they can play the best,” Sabyasachi added.
