‘New Year, New Me’ - Rihanna snaps back at a comment who trolled her

Rihanna celebrated New Year’s Day cheekily, with even more charisma. She shut down her troll from the comments section for a video she posted on Instagram, attesting to the fact that she’s not going to be quiet and listen to her trolls. ‘Umbrella’ singer has always been sassy and confident, and she forever will be!
She posted an Instagram video of her counting down for New Year, where she exclaims and reveals that she hasn’t consumed liquor in a year. She said, “Y’all, I didn’t drink all year. I didn’t drink - ALL YEAR,” after counting and wishing “Happy New Year”.
The 36-year-old has not released an album in 9 years. Her last album was Anti (2016), which spent weeks being a fan favourite and on top at Number 1 on various charts. After the release, she made an appearance in remixes and contributed to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s tracks ‘Born Again’ and ‘Lift Me Up’. In the last couple of years, she has been focusing on her family and her brand ‘Fenty Beauty’.

This was not the first time that the Barbadian singer had to face trolls. Her fans have been asking for a new album for almost a decade. While some of them feel that the current song list is perfect, others just aren’t satisfied and certainly want more from the talented singer.
Under her post captioned ‘New Year, New Me’, a fan commented ‘We want an album forehead’. Rihanna was not one to take heed, she snapped back at him saying, ‘Listen Lorenzo! You ain’t cute enough to be calling me by my black name you dizzy f—!’
Some fans supported her by saying, ‘Y’all leave her ALONE enjoy all the music she’s dropped b4, damn’. However, a few fans got to her left and right and said, ‘and still no r9..’, ‘I thought it was the countdown for the album drop’, ‘New year new music? Okay’. Some even commented on her drinking statement from the video saying, ‘You were busy getting pregnant.’
