"Since I have met Ryan I have rediscovered something in myself - and it's my favourite part of me so thank you. You appreciate the part of me that my Christian guilt is mortified by," Gaga said.
Murphy, 49, was honoured at the celebrity-packed amfAR Inspiration Gala.
Apart from her performance the
Poker face hitmaker reportedly spent USD 200,000 for a photo of Elizabeth Taylor, in an auction led by Sharon Stone.
The event raised USD 3.1 million for the AIDS organisation.
Actress Emma Roberts and Lea Michele who star on Murphy's
Scream Queens were also present along with
Glee star Gwyneth Paltrow and Julia Roberts.
