Music and fashion icon Rihanna, gave fans a glimpse into her private life, on International Women's Day by sharing intimate photos from the delivery room just minutes after giving birth to two sons, Riot and RZA.
In a heartfelt homage to motherhood, on March 8, Rihanna posted two emotional photos on Instagram showing the moments after the birth of her children. In the first, which was after the birth of her older son RZA, now 2, the singer is pictured wearing a gold chain and pearls, holding her newborn. The second photo, after the birth of her younger son Riot Rose, 19 months, features Rihanna with a pair of pink sunglasses on, cradling her baby in her arms.
Looking back on these life-changing moments, Rihanna posted on the photo: "By far the most powerful thing I've ever done as a woman.my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay." She added a dash of her signature wit by remarking, "And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses. don't ask, a lot was happening."
Rihanna has two sons with her boyfriend, rapper A$AP Rocky, whom she started dating in 2020. The two have frequently spoken about their happiness and satisfaction as parents. In an earlier interview with British Vogue, Rihanna referred to motherhood as "legendary," saying, "It's everything. You really don't remember life before—that's the craziest thing ever."
