Penelope wants to have her own children

Academy Award winner Penelope Cruz in a chat to BT from the Toronto Film Festival...
Penelope wants to have her own children
The vivacious and celebrated Penelope Cruz is in the best phase of her international film career.
Having received rave notices for her spitfire performance in Pedro Almodovars Volver (2006), the Spanish actress went on to notch up the BAFTA and the Oscar for Woody Allens Vicky Christina Barcelona. And she had men swooning in the aisles when she tackled some aesthetically shot nude scenes in Isabel Coixets sensitive film Elegy with Sir Ben Kingsley.

The Latino hottie, who is dating Spanish co-star Javier Bardem, was recently upset about rumours of her pregnancy... which, if true, will be her first baby. In a phone-in with BT from the Toronto Film Festival...
Vicky Cristina Barcelona is releasing in India 16 months after its premiere in Cannes (May 2008). Are you upset with the delay?
Not really! As long as people in India get to see it and enjoy it.
You won several awards for this film... happy?
It feels great to be the first actress from Spain to be nominated for an Academy Award. Allen saw my performance in Volver. When I heard Woody Allen was doing a movie in Spain, my agent called and informed Allen that I would love to be a part of it and Allen found his Elena in me.
Recently you were very upset with rumours of your pregnancy, right?
I start getting presents from friends saying, Congratulations, youre pregnant. I told them NO! and had to return their presents. I want to have my own kids but also adopt. For a while I have had the feeling that my life wont be complete if I dont adopt.
