'Interstellar' sweeps Saturn Awards 2015

Sci-fi thriller 'Interstellar' has won big at the 41st Annual Saturn Awards, taking six awards including best science fiction release.

The film saw off competition from Edge of Tomorrow, Godzilla and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 to win the honour, reported Ace Showbiz.

Interstellaralso won best film writing with Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan as the scriptwriters.
Accepting the honour, Jonah Nolan explained briefly about the film to the audience, "Interstellar is the story of a man who goes on an arduous journey, comes back 100 years later to find that nobody remembers him or cares about what he was doing."
He added, "It's a pretty good metaphor for writing a studio film."
The outer-space movie won four other awards including best performance by a younger actor in a film (MacKenzie Foy), best film editing, best film production design and best film music.
