Colin Farrell assumes the role of the supervillain in the first in-production look of HBO Max’s The Batman spinoff dedicated to the Penguin.
The Penguin is created by Lauren LeFranc and will be directed by filmmaker
Matt Reeves. The exciting trailer, which released on YouTube, features ominous lighting and sets with the Penguin as Colin Farrell and chronicles his rise to absolute power in Gotham City’s criminal underworld.
The in-production teaser has already garnered more than 1 million views and looks exciting. Colin Farrell has completely transformed his look, gaining weight, changed his accent and many more subtleties to portray the character. Farell had also played the character in a brief role in 2022's The Batmam featuring
Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight.
