The 'Taken' star, 64, will step into Stellan Skarsgard's role in the 2014 original, which followed a mild-mannered snow plow driver seeking vengeance on his son's drug dealing killers, inadvertently sparking a turf war between local gangs.

Director Hans Petter Molland is returning to take charge of the English-language revamp, which will be set in Colorado, along the Rocky Mountains, and he has now cast 'Shameless' star Emmy to feature alongside Neeson.

"Once Upon a Time in America" tough guy William Forsythe has also signed on for the project.
The reboot will be renamed 'Hard Powder'
