Emily Osment, best known for her role in Hannah Montana, has finalized her divorce from husband Jack Anthony after only five months of marriage. Emily filed for divorce from Jack Anthony, whose real name is Jack Farina, just last week. The couple appears to be parting ways on peaceful terms, with no messy legal battles or drama.
The couple, who tied the knot in October 2024, have already reached a settlement, according to a report from TMZ. New court documents filed on Monday reveal that they had a prenuptial agreement in place before they got married. Thanks to that prenup, the entire divorce process has been smooth and uncomplicated.
Neither Emily nor Jack will be seeking spousal support from each other. They both signed a confidential marriage settlement agreement, which outlines how they will handle things moving forward. Since they didn’t have any children together, there are no custody or child support issues to deal with, making their split even more straightforward.
Emily Osment, who also stars in Young Sheldon and Young & Hungry, spoke briefly about the divorce in a statement to TMZ. She said, “I think with any big decision in your life, whether it’s relationships or work or whatever it may be, you have to firmly plant both feet in that decision. Ultimately, it didn't work out.”
Emily officially listed December 7, 2024, as the date of their separation—less than two months after their wedding. The couple had a beautiful wedding ceremony back in October 2024, with Emily’s brother, actor Haley Joel Osment, participating as a groomsman. Despite what seemed like a happy occasion at the time, the marriage ended quickly due to what Emily cited as “irreconcilable differences.”
Even though the judge has not officially signed off on the divorce yet, everything seems to be in place for it to be finalized soon.
This quick divorce settlement shows how much easier things can be when both parties are on the same page and legal agreements, like a prenup, are in place before marriage.
